After a lot of research, I discovered the Adams collars for our three cats. They seemed to have the right ingredients that were both safe for our pets and effective against their would-be passengers. I will say that we have noticed zero fleas. But now in May, we've been pulling lots of ticks off of one of our cats. I just now pulled up the product listing on amazon to see whether perhaps it was claimed only as a flea collar, but it does say "flea & tick". It seems ineffective against ticks.
